Day 51/100
A picture of you wearing sunglasses.
I'd have to say that I'm a far cry from "metrosexual". However, I do find myself envious at times of well groomed men wearing $400 suits. I don't envy the amount of money spent, or even the ability to pay for said suits. The look, the style is what I envy. I've been making no attempts to change my appearance for a sleek modern business look, so I have none to blame but myself. I do however find myself more in the mode of "Oh, that's comfy and suits my needs, I'll wear that."
Now I'm sure there are plenty of fashion bloggers that would gasp at such a comment, however the concept also comes with the double standard that men get more leneance in the fashion world that women. Again, I digress.
This is about my glasses. No, Jess and I did not switch glasses to make a "cute" or "funny" picture. These are our shades. Jess likes the aviators because they are the most comfortable for her to wear. I too wear mine out of comfort. I also like the large lens that can cover my whole eye (and a good portion of my periforal) and this pair of Daisy Fuentes' glasses are the only ones I could find that met the form, and function, and were less than $40.
Now, if I could only find a tailored business suit that falls into the same price range.
The goal is almost always to be comfortable when dressing and even fashion blogger tend towards that sometimes. However, some of us work quite hard at hunting down comfortable pieces that also portray the image we want to put forth.
ReplyDeleteAnd it never crossed my mind that you would have switched sunglasses until you said so.
