I love the nightlife...

Day 4/100
a picture of your night

I thought about this one all day today. Do I go out and take a picture of the night sky? Do I go out and do something? Instead, I give you my night. A wonderful queen-sized Serta mattress with quilted comforter and a wonderful woman to share it with (not pictured). This is my night(s). The comfort of a roof over my head and warm sheets to crawl into. My life is blessed and very thankful for the simple things.

g'night.

"Firefly" makes me smile.

Day 3/100
a picture of the cast from your favorite show

"Firefly." C'mon, how could you not love sci-fi action with country western mannerisms? Well, assuming you like neither sci-fi nor westerns that would be pretty easy. Even if those two genres don't appeal to you how about this: a misfit crew smuggling to survive but holding as true to their military background as possible, taking on the established government by harboring fugitives and throw in a healthy bit of witty banter (mixed with Mandarin cursing) and you have a VERY bare bones description of "Firefly". Plus, if you watch it, you get to see my doppelganger: Alan Tudyk.

We're close.

Day 2/100
a picture of you and the person you’ve been the closest with the longest

Kinda hard to beat out family ties. I was this guy's shadow throughout his high school years. Through my own middle and high school years I did everything I could to copy him. I'd "borrow" his clothes, music, find out what he was reading...however our movie tastes are very different. I took his room as soon as he moved away for college. Then again, that may have just been envy. He's always had my back and pushed me to do my best. He's a great brother and an even better friend. Proverbs says something about how a good friend can be closer than a brother, I'm glad I've got the one in the same.

Love you bro.

100 days

100 photos, 100 days.

This seems a little more intriguing than a 10 question quiz to determine whether my relationship will last, or 12 things you never knew about me. However, I was almost torn away to redo making my zombie movie soundtrack with my iTunes on shuffle.

Each day has specific subject or task. Pictures can be old pictures, they don't even have to be taken by you, no pictures should be reused. So let's get started.

Day 1/100
A Picture of yourself with 10 facts. (I thought I avoided the quizzes.)
1. I'm happily married.
2. My Canon has a funky spot I can't get rid of.
3. I have 2 siblings, 1 brother and 1 sister.
4. I enjoy light tickles on my back.
5. I've been second mate on a fishing boat or two.
6. I had my SCUBA license before my driving license.
7. I've worked in paint, housing, childrens' ministry, coffee, movies and comics.
8. I currently work for big brother.
9. I'm a natural red-head.
10. I'm not a huge fan of crowds.

The Inifiniteness of God

This is probably a bit heady and I definitely don't have the theological training to back what I'm about to dig into.

Let's take the fact that God is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. These three aspects are dependent upon each other in my eyes. Knowing everything is not possible without being ever present. Ever present includes space and time. Knowledge is required to wield power; and, with great power comes great responsibility. Thanks Uncle Ben. I'm gonna stop my digression there. With the omnipresence spanning time and implying eternalness, I want to focus on the omnipotence.

There are still sects of the faith that do not recognized that Christ was both fully God and fully human. People are baptized in the Name (singular) of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. There is a slew of scriptural cross-references that make the assertion, Christ is the Word made flesh, and in the beginning the Word was with God and the Word was God. If Christ is the Word and the Word is God, guess what? Christ is God. Despite the Bible's outright declaration, people are just driven to go against the grain. I've heard the argument that you can't have 200% of something in a single item. I would argue that with money, not gambling, but a metaphor. Take the US dollar, for us it will only be worth a dollar, 100% of it's value. This is the physical representation. Then take into account the global market, depending on where that dollar goes it can actually be valued at 10x it's original worth. This would be the spiritual representation. One item physically, but carrying 200%(and higher) of worthiness. In Christ's case, a human body containing the spirit of infinite worth. I will go ahead and acknowledge this is not the greatest metaphor. Yes, the value of a dollar fluctuates and can actually be less than it's worth dependent on the market it is in. But if you get the point, thank you and let's move on.

Now, how can a human body contain the fullness of God? I can't see how people that can recognize that God is omnipotent but He can't put that power into a human body. All powerful and able to do ANYTHING, but putting the omnipotence and omniscience into a human body is off limits. The idea that the human body and mind can't hold the fullness of God makes sense. God even states that to Moses before revealing himself on the mountainside. (Exodus 33: 19-23) The important part is that God reached out his hands and braced Moses. God used his power to brace a human body for his prescience and maintained His omnipotence. So if God can brace the human body from the outside, doesn't it make sense He can brace it internally as well? How do we explain Mary's ability to carry God in the womb? My mind is blown when encountering people that want to limit God. Our minds can accept the idea of an all-powerful being but still limit it to fit our physical reality.

I hope that made sense.
